Try – Try Again

It’s been so long since my last Blog, I thought I should try again. Like most people in the children’s book business, I expected things to happen quickly. I also thought I wouldn’t need to market or invest yet somehow the books would magically fly off my shelf and the money would roll in. That’s a big NO. It doesn’t work that way.

Try doing a Google search using your keywords. I got to page twenty and still did not find our website. Being on Social Security doesn’t leave mush for advertising. We’ve published a total of six books. Each book required proof editing and illustrating. We sunk a lot of cash into these books. Looking back, I should have written one or maybe two books then used the illustration money from the other books to market and advertise with. I think that would have made more sense, but too late now.

The best thing I can do is start using social media to market with and make improvements where I can. That’s why we gave the website a facelift. If you get a chance, visit us at and let me know what you think, (good, bad or indifferent.)

Previously a customer might find our home page then they would need to search for our books. Now, the customer will find our books on the home page. From there, they only need to click on the MORE link where they will find an enhanced description and links to purchase either the digital eBook from Amazon or the Paperback from us.

I plan to continue using social marketing including Facebook, Twitter , Goodreads, WordPress, Linkedin, Pinterest and YouTube.

Here are some of the pictures from the home page.

We hope people like the updated website and the ease of ordering. Some folks think a WordPress Website would work better but I’m just not sold yet. I know very little about WordPress and I’m concerned I might mess it up. I just don’t have the money to pay someone to build a WordPress site. I understand a little HTML, or at least just enough to be dangerous. No matter the outcome, I promise to keep the Blog current this time around.
